According to different production requirements, ceramic membrane elements are often packed into different modules with 7elements, 19elements, 37elements, 61elements or 91elements, and then assembled into equipment. In the fields of Biopharmacy, Food and Beverage, and Chemical Environmental Protection, ceramic membranes have gradually gained popularity and become the first choice in the process of material separation for its excellent clarification effect and service life.

When applied in actual engineering project, ceramic membrane elements and membrane operation process are equally important. Since the optimized operation process plays a vital role in improving performance efficacy, reducing usage cost, and keeping daily maintenance. Based on the membrane development, Kaimi has exploited series of integrated membrane system to meet the customers' practical production demand by combining membrane system construction and operation process.

Kaimi can supply 4 different kinds of systems operation process to meet the needs and requirements.

 Parallel intermittent operation process: effective component extracted to the maximum by adjustably adding water. It's mainly suitable for process with small scale treatment.

 Series continuous dialysis operation process: continuous operation, increasing capability, reducing energy. It's mainly suitable for materials System in large treatment scale and high concentration. To apply 9 series continuous dialysis operation process to XXX (treatment, capacity 15 m3/h, flux XXLMH, filtration yield≥95%.)

 Series continuous concentration operation process, can improve the filtration yield by adjusting concentration multiple without adding dialysis water . It's mainly suitable for materials system in large treatment scale and high concentration. To apply 5 series continuous concentration operation process to XXX ( treatment capacity 1000 m3/d, flux XXLMH, filtration yield≥95%.)

 Series continuous & parallel dialysis operation process, concentration treatment in series continuous phase will reduce the treatment capacity from parallel stage; Parallel dialysis stage can better take control of productivity. This process gives a solution to the problem of equipment investment and process match between preceding phase & post phase. To apply 3 series continuous concentration and 2 parallel circulation dialysis operation process to XXX (treatment, achieves XX m3/h treatment capacity and XXLMH flux.)

Tubular membrane is with wide channels (6~25mm) and easy recover cleaning, which is specializing in high-viscosity and high-solid liquid system. Tubular membrane has brilliant mechanical performance that can avoid unqualified effluent caused by membrane broken. 

Braced tubular membrane module constitutes of tubular membrane elements in serial connection and each membrane element external is supported by SS housing that can prevent tubular membrane from being twisted and broken. This kind of membrane element with SS housing supporting is specially applied in lye recovery of chemical industry. 

Braced tubular membrane system has the following features:

 Membrane element is connected in serial connection. Both ordinary cleaning and physical cleaning with sponge ball can be used.
 Each membrane element in parallel connection is replaceable, and the feed-in  direction can be designed to be mutual.
 Operation pressure is 10 bar and life is 10 years.
 Automatic control, stable operation, and low labor intensity.
  Control the whole process from preparation to application including the design, membrane element production, membrane component processing, membrane system installation, system operation and maintenance. 
To take ion exchange process regenerating waste alkali liquor (pH > 13.5, about 5% alkali, a large number of the colloid, protein, suspended solids included) as an example, to design the treatment capacity as 1600 t/d, 5 groups (each has 48 pieces)of braced tubular membrane modules (model:KMTC-0512-SD) are adopted. After treatment, recyclable NaOH in waste alkali liquid reaches 90%. Operation flux is 60 ~ 100 LMH and system power is 310 kw, and power consumption of equipment costs 1.86 million yuan/year.

NF membrane's pore diameter is between UF membrane and reverse osmosis membrane. Some inorganic salt can be rejected through NF system, and MWCO ranges from 100~1000Dalton. The main feature of NF membrane is to have high rejection (rejection rate is higher than 98%) of divalent ion, functional sugar, small molecule pigment, polypeptide and so on. However, the rejection of some monovalent ions, small molecule acid and alkali, alkanol is related to the constitute and concentration of the feed. 

It's often applied into separation, refine, and concentration process such as the classification of the solute, the elution of low molecular compounds, classification of ion composition and the concentration of solvent system. NF separation technology is often used to replace the traditional techniques such as the process of freeze drying, thin film evaporation, ion exchange desalination, enrichment of resin, neutralize and so on. 

The features of NF membrane system operation process:

 High packing density, low cost of per membrane area and multi-layer porous structure like spiral membrane.
 Guarantee high-permeance of system even under the condition of high salinity and low pressure.
 Make special concentration separation and desalination carried out simultaneously, and achieve greater concentration ratio.
 Continuously feeding and concentration discharging insures the continuity of production, improves the equipment use efficiency. 
  Reusing high unit dialysate improves the yield of the products. 
To take the recovery of lye from lignin ( PH>13.5, total alkali is about 1%, with a little fiber, hemicellulose and 100~1000 dalton pigment molecular ) as example, treatment capacity is 1200 t/d, and the system consisting of 5 groups of NF acid resistant equipment (KOCH MPS-36 ) was adopted. After treatment, the reuse rate of NaOH in recyclable exhausted lye can reach more than 90%. Membrane flux is 25~50LMH, system power is 150KW, Power consumption costs are 900.000RMB.

RO technology, a technology depending on separation between water and ion by pressure, has been widely applied in many works of life such as medicine, electronics, chemical industry, food, drinking water, desalination and so on, to achieve purification and concentration. RO membrane of KOCH can be used in both ordinary water treatment and special materials concentration. 

Compared with ordinary RO membrane, KOCH RO membrane specializing in materials concentration is with wide flow channels, sanitary-level grid, high flux, and high resistance to membrane fouling. To design sanitary level grid is able to reduce the existence of feed with low flow speed surrounding the membrane, and control bacterial growth effectively. RO membrane with materials concentration type specializes in small molecules concentration. 
RO equipment consists of 3 parts: pretreatment equipment, RO device and post-processing equipment. Pretreatment equipment is used to remove materials with big molecular to meet inlet requirement of RO device RO device with advanced RO membrane is able to remove more than 98% ions in raw water, to meet the requirements of different industries.

RO system process has the following features
